The Ultimate Travel Guide for Savannah, Georgia
I hear you’re ready to explore one of my favorite cities, Savannah, Georgia! The best way to prepare for your trip is getting the book, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt (if you haven’t read it already). It covers the1981 shooting death of...
Taking Your Toddler to Disney World
We’ve taken Oliver to Disney World three times now. The first time he was only 15 months old. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is feeding and napping are much more predictable with a young toddler than they are with a 3 year old. There are 4 people I have to...
The Amazing Michigan Arhaus Outlet You Never Knew Existed
While out looking for countertops and tile, my husband Blake and I had some extra time so we decided to stop at Great Lakes Crossing on our way home. We just so happened to park at the entrance next to the Arhaus Outlet which is called Arhaus - The Loft. We had no...
Losing Clara…
It started with getting bad blood work results and learning what those results could mean. Then it was scrambling to get an appointment for an anatomy scan earlier than planned while replaying every traumatic thing that happened during the first pregnancy. ...
Hi, I’m Danielle!
I’m a mom, a wife and an artist at heart. I absolutely adore granny-chic decor or what’s now called “grandmillennial” design and spend most of my extra time exploring historical villages.
My interest in history, and what we can learn from it, lead me to pursue a career in acting. Then I became a mom to the most incredible little soul, who we call Oliver, and my priorities drastically changed.
Although I’m no longer diving into characters and costumes from another time, my style is still heavily influenced by decor from the past.
I decorate with a specific mood in mind- dramatic, sophisticated, elegant, cozy, etc. I choose colors based on how they physically and emotionally make me feel… i.e. “a breath of fresh air” or “being wrapped in a warm fluffy blanket”. It’s not an accurate technique by anyone’s standards and I have no idea how others are so good with color theory but I’m continuously learning along the way!
This blog will be a collection of life’s little treasures. I hope you find something here that brings a little more joy to your day.
